Are there insects?

I haven't bought it yet, but I'm fairly close to - I think I can handle the scary stuff, based on what I've read. The one thing that always phases me, though, is insects. And not just in horror games - even in Skyrim I could barely walk past a dead giant spider. So really, that's all I want to know.

There are spiders (which are not insects). But they are not evil, just scary. There are cockroaches but only for visual effects. And there are some "insect-effects" on screen, but only when you are "...". This game has no real insect-scares.

I didn't notice any spiders when I played.

There are cockroaches (I think that's how it's written) who walk across your screen if your sanity is REALLY low. Or if the guy who makes the custom story scripts it (I don't remember seeing that in the base story) and some others cockroaches walking on the floor in some areas in the game

The cockroaches all over the screen when your character is afraid are enough I believe. Don't buy the game.

Nah. Thats just a visual effect. Nothin scary about it only happens if you are slow in the storyline.

The spiders are only visible in the staircase of the nave as halluzinations, but according to their animations and sound effects, they were supposed to be enemies.

Yep, a few cockroaches and flies, but not that much actually. I'd recommend you to try it, especially now that it's on sale there isn't much to lose. ;)
In fact I'm a real sissy and I managed to complete the game, even if it took me a while. Feel free to poke me if you have any questions!

i tried but it wont work on my computer cause i am not good at usein winrar

just copy all Dark Room folder to our custom story folder in redist folder in Amnesia main folder :P
