Stopped working on Mac

I've searched threads regarding this error, since I seem to have a similar one. It's the one where the launcher appears, and clicking launch brings the screen to black like normal, before quitting with a "quitted unexpectedly" error. The disturbing thisn about this for me is that the game ran perfectly fine on my Macbook Pro the day before, so what's gone wrong here?

I run OSX 10.9.3, with a 2GHz intel core i7 processor, and an AMD Radeon HD 6490M graphics card. The threads I checked keep saying integrated Intel graphics cards like those on Macbook Pros seem to cause the problem, but for one, the launcher says I'm not using that to run the game, and for two, that doesn't explain why it was able to run fine the first time. Does anyone know what's happening?

I also have the same problem. I have had some luck changing the resolution but that seems to only fix it for a day.

Im wondering if Steam machines will fix these compatibility issues.....thats the huge benefit of consoles is a game made for it will always work;may be glitchy, but it will work. @cobalt did u try redownloading it? Anytime I had an issue it was mainly because it didnt download correctly....I heard that running the game on windows on a mac works better than on it natively. That baffles me but maybe that would work.

I just bought this game and maybe it updated for some reason?? But what's happened to me with another game is the Steam Overlay prevents the game from running properly. So you have to go to your Library, right-click on Amnesia in the sidebar, click Properties and then uncheck "Enable Steam Overlay". Then my game worked fine.

This fix worked for me. If you're running the game through Steam, try this. Incredibly easy solution after I spent an hour researching and reading support forums everyone tries to direct you to. You'd think it would be more obvious on the game's support forum to try this.
