Today I got Amnesia on cd at the store but when I try Activating it on steam it wont work when I got I already activated it but not on steam I don't know if that's the issue or what.

The game which you bought is a non-steam game . That means that Steam doesn't accept keys from the cd game box . It only accepts games which you buy from the steam store . You can always of course ''add'' your game to your steam library as a non-steam game .

but you can get it on steam i just got the disk

i buy disk versions of games from amazon some will work on steam & some dont, amazon says if this version will work on steam, i bought modern warfare 2 & COD4 from amazon and only MW2 worked on steam, the disk version of Amnesia: The Dark Descent will not work on steam, and the person saying It only accepts games which you buy from the steam store is talking RUBBISH so stop lying, i bought this game from amazon, look were it says Product Description (game requires steam account) http://www.amazon.co.uk/Namco-Bandai-PCOESSINF98112-Project-CARS/dp/B00KL32DE2/ref=sr_1_12?ie=UTF8&qid=1440248655&sr=8-12&keywords=pc+games
