Framerate question
I have a questions re the framerate of the game:

Ive uncapped the 60 fps limitation and it now shows like 300 +

Im playing on a 240 hz monitor and everything runs smooth.

However ingame it still feels like 60 or even less 30 fps max, despite steam indicating like 300+ frames on a screen on 240 hz - any solution?

Its like the game cant get the frames to the screen propperly

All gameplay elements are locked to 60 FPS. This includes physics, puzzles, player movement, input and most animations. This limit can be removed, but will only affect particles and some animations.

Yeah, it's just an engine limitation basically. Like the idtech 4 based games, Doom 3, Quake 4, rage etc. Also limited to 60 fps.

is it because it comes from crappy console ports? i mean ther are other games that run perfect uncapped? Dont understand

No, the Amnesia games are not console ports, they were ported to console at a later stage, it's only rebirth i think that launched on all platforms. Anyway 60 fps is fine for games like these.

i dunno .. once you have experienced uncapped you cant go back and isnt uncap why we play on pc in the first place?

isnt that the only true reason we consider ourselves superiour to all the mere mortal console players that dont believe in anything but 30 fps and autoaim?

ok funfact: ive tried the game with an xbox windows controller and the xbox controller feels waaay more uncapped than the logitech gaming mouse ... dunno

Controller has much more input lag, if you lower mouse sensitivity and increase mouse smoothing you will get the same feel/experience than on a controller. And you're probably sitting further away from your monitor that will also make a difference.

no not rly to all...
i mean the mouse doesnt have smoothing but if i move the mouse its jagged and if i press the controller it kinda feels like 240 hz ..

but that might just be a feeling
