Thanks for the tip!
Thank you for posting this! Wouldn't have known about this amazing mod otherwise.

Holy crap, the remastered version looks amazing. And the standard version already looks very good even in 2020. Thanks for the notes! The only thing is, that the pc requirements are a little bit higher. On my Ryzen 7 2700x (Turboclock off), 16 GB RAM, GTX 1070 OC, Windows 10x64 as well as SSD, i had to lower the following settings: Anisotropy 4x, Shadows = medium, Sepia = off, Insanity = off, SSAO = 4x on medium. Furthermore the VSync must be OFF on a 60 Hz-Display, Parralax can stay at ON.

Update after 2 hours: The performance is very poor in some areas and every time the insanity effect appears, the movement is so strange that i get motion sick. Of course this issue was still before, in the original game.

Well i have a 240hz monitor, and a 2070 RTX OC. and i run with 90 - 170 fps. With max settings. Only two times i have under 90 fps. in game.

it definitely have some heavy textures, but i also think that it is just not that good optimized.

The poor performance appears only at that moments when the main character is very frightened and so the vision gets blurry. This effect is part of the game, but unfortunately it will not disappear even after several minutes. And i can't control the mouse movement anymore and got motion sick. I bought the Epic Store version a few month ago and i didn't notice these effect in there. A pity is, i have not the savegames anymore. Doesn't matter, soon we'll play Amnesia: Rebirth.
I just tried this mod and the door wont open after picking up the lantern. I have never played the game before so I was stuck wondering what was going on. I might have to uninstall the mod, sigh.

Also the game really doesn't like ultrawide monitors, all the text and inventory are partially offscreen.

Do steam achievements work fine with the mod or do they conflict in some way
