Zooming problems with high resolution
I can play the game in Fullscreen mode with no problems at 640 x 480 resolution, but as soon as I go beyond that, the screen starts to "zoom" in, and I lose a fraction of the screen. The higher the resolution, the greater the zoom.

I am using Windows 10 64-bit. I have downloaded the most recent Nvidia drivers (419.35). My monitor is AOC AG352UCG6, and it's running at 120 Hz. My CPU is an i7 8700K, and my GPU is a Zotac GeForce 1080 Ti.

All graphics settings are at maximum. I have no mods installed. Please advise.

Yeah, I'm having the same issue.

Okay, I'm currently playing Space Engine (not Space Engineers), which is a freeware space simulator of the universe. In windowed mode, I had to manually stretch the resolution to 1720 x 648 in order to fit the whole window into view. I do not know if that is helpful to anyone, but I find it interesting. Also, I was able to successfully play Amnesia on 1280 x 720.

The game was released 9 years ago, the dev's will not being paying attention to this anymore. You are on your own.

I have figured it out. It has nothing to do with the video driver. Furthermore, it has nothing to do with this specific game. The answer is scaling in Windows. I am using Windows 10. To get the proper scaling, I right clicked on the desktop and selected Display settings. Under "Scale and layout", the scaling of the size of text, apps and other items was set to 200%. Once I set it to 100%, the game worked perfectly. While I was still in the game, I Alt+Tabbed back to my desktop and set it back to 200% (without signing out), and the same old problem reappeared. So that's it! It was such an easy fix, but it had nothing to do with any games or any video drivers. I'll just have to set the scaling size back to 200% when I'm done playing.

Please, please share this info.

This fixed the problem for me entirely, thanks a lot!

I hope the devs can release an update so that the game ignores the Windows scaling setting.

You're very welcome. I think this is probably something either Nvidia or Microsoft needs to work on, instead of game developers, but I'm glad the solution worked for you, too. Now we all can enjoy our older games in glorious ultra widescreen. :)

So I've found a complete fix for this issue that doesn't involve changing the WIndows Scaling options back and forth every time you want to play the game.

Locate your Amnesia.exe file in your main game folder then right-click and open properties. Switch to the Compatibility tab and click on High DPI Settings. Then tick the High DPI scaling override box at the bottom of the window and select Application. Click Ok and then hit apply. This works for any game that has the same issue.
