Flow Room Design Flaw?

So I was at the machine where you have to equalize the flow on both sides. I was doing this puzzle blind, and found a way to equalize the flow by setting 9 on each side (3-5-1 on top, 5-2-2 on bottom). This didn't work, and I wound up turning in circles for 10 minutes thinking the answer was something else.

Did the designers just miss the fact that you could equalize at 9 instead of 8 or is there something in-game that tells you to equalize at 8? This kind of bugged me.

I think you mean Elevator Machine.

If yes, you should find a note called "Elevator Machine Instructions" in which it says "Adjust the levers to get the right amount of pressure inside the chamber. The meters should read: Up 8 & Down 8."

So, no, it is not a flaw in design, you just can't read notes I suppose.

If not that machine, then tell me which one.

I can't read notes? Why the unnecessary insult? Have you ever made a mistake? Why are there so many mean people on the Internet?

And yes, I remember reading the note, but it wasn't in my inventory when I checked for whatever reason. But yeah, my fault, case closed. Thanks so much.
