How do you use fireworks?

Hi'.

I'm trying to shoot down an helicopter and the only way I know of doing that is using fireworks. Good thing there is one available on the Amusement Park but all I can do is pick it up.
I tried activating it by putting it near fires, in explosions or in burning kerosene (I'll assume it's kerosene for the needs of hyperbole) and it won't go off. My last option is finding a lighter but I would need a box or partygoer to drop one and that's as much RNG as the last component for the laboratory.

So, before I spend my life restarting the Amusement Park level, anyone knows how the fireworks... work?

Once you have picked it up, you can use it by simply pressing a key.

Oh. Just tested it. I feel stupid.
T'was the [E] key for me, but the UI never displayed it when the fireworks were selected in my inventory.
