I stopped playing WG because it was jsut the same few 3v3 and 4v4 maps every day and there just wasnt a matchmaker for those matches so it was nearly always random vs arranged teams. I hope someday Eugen will learn and include both of these to increase the life of their games. Even with the scalable maps in SD it just doesnt feel enough to keep playing it.
Maps probably aren't easy to make though
Can you even imagine "A bridge to far" multiplayer szenario 10Vs10 with this gamingsystem?
With different spawnzones for different battlegroups, airsupply, bridges to hold on a large map? Would outclass every WW2 game so far.
That map would be a little too big. The Bridge would be too far.
But more maps are needed.
Can we have a map of Cherbourg or maybe even Paris? Then the Gross Paris and the resistance will make a lot more sense. Could be like a mini bridge too far, with the Gross Paris starting with lots of troops, and more coming in B, as well as strong defenses of AT guns and panzerschrecks and panzergrendiers and grendiers outside the city. The allies have lots of resistance troops in the city, but they cannot be reinforced and so will be crushed over time. However, over time, overwhelming French forces will arrive and overwhelm the outer defenses, and then the fighting will occur in the city. The Germans victory condition must be odd though, since otherwise they will be doomed over time.
In the game folder are already some unfinished maps, i tried them yesterday, some can be played already but miss some textures and the ai isnt implemented in most ones.
We just need to wait a bit, im sure. Heres a sreenshot from a beach of the dday map:

There are 5 normandie name typed maps, a falais map, sans ville and a 10vs10 map with sektors and the look of a rd map.
Patience guys...
i just implemented a hidden Mont ormel version which is finished but kinda ugly. The implemented one is way better. And ofc, unlocked sword map for all playercounts. Thats all i found belonging to maps. Maybe its also possible to play the different game mode map versions in all modes to raise the actual map numbers to play.
Im working on it and maybe we can make a mod or implement it in our project.
greetz^^
That's great spoil!!!
Yes, right! No matter if, doing this, some maps become "unbalanced" the war is just that! So considering that, maybe without too much effort DEVS can cut maps even with different angles 15*, 30*, 45*.. We would have a lot of material
