TL;DR I don't think this is an awful game but its outclassed by it's sequel in nearly everywhere except aesthetics
The units are ridiculously stealthy in this game making any kind of push a pain in the ass. This game also has an inferior deck building system and single player experience to SD2.
This game is more arty focused than it's tank focused sequel. While this part is just preference I miss the really powerful german rocket units of this game.
However, this game looks better than steel division 2. Not because the graphics are more realistic or whatever but the green vibrant hills of normandy are just a lot better to look at than the dull fields of ukraine. Not to mention the maps are also a lot more readable than in SD2. I also miss the in game portraits of the units. They did take up a lot of screen space so I can see why they took them out. This game also more american and british units, which have really funny and goofy voice lines. The voice lines of the new nations in SD2 doesn;t have as much personality.
I might revisit this game soonish but if I need space on my pc this is the first game to go.
Thanks for the feedback
