I Knew that American Tanks Were Crap...
But geez, 1940 vintage French tanks and short barrelled Pz IIIs are eating Shermans for lunch. Even the PaK38 is killing them at range.

1940 vintage French tanks are stronger than you think, especially the B1 bis, it is a truly early war heavy tank
PaK38 was the long 50mm. Against the cast hull of the M4A1 I don't think you'd get much more than a bounce. The PaK40 was the gun to take out the T-34 and it did eat the Shermans for lunch.

Depends on which tank ...
If your Shermans got eaten by R-35 or H-35, that's indeed bad luck.

But the Somua & B1 bis' 47mm can still be dangerous if you let them come too close ...

Shermans were pretty weak. The weakest heavy "modern" ww2 tank. I saw some people complaining that they are still to strong in this game. So I think they are fine like they are.

Usa didn t care about tank crew protection as the german did.

Do not "spearhead" with armour if you have infantry recon units availlable.
Keep them behind your recon units at all times...
Tanks are blind.

I know. And I guess you missunderstand me. I think it's ok like it is. I am not complaining that the sherman is to strong or to weak. It was a pretty weak tank. But the game need to be "fair"

Sherman isn't a "weak" tank, it is ... average.
Average armor, average gun, ... but that's also one made it one of the best tank of the war: easily produced, reliable, jack-of-all-trades but master in none, it performed well on its own and could call in a lot of friends when it wasn't able to deal with a problem itself.

Sherman was not designed specifically to exchange blows with enemy tanks and come out unscathed. In the later stages of the war it mostly faced German infantry and it did very well in that regards. It's not the best tank, but it's an okay tank and it did its job.

And it's ironic you ask someone to do some 'homework' and then you throw in some stupid myth "tommycooker". Why don't YOU go check on those 'tommycookers'?

Look if a guy with a German themed AV/name insists X about allies not being that great or Y about Panthers being the greatest gift god has ever given to engineering just take it with a collosal grain of salt in general.

Do you understand how attacking and defending work? Do you understand that if the Germans had attacked into prepared positions they too would have lost a lot of material while gaining ground?

Do you understand that when the Germans were using MkIIs and IIIs they were winning the war, the Big Cats only cost them in the end.

Also, Malfunction has it right, you are quoting myths. If you hate how strong the American tanks are now, wait till the T-34s show up and roll over the top of you.

Soviet DLC for a game taking place in France?
Could release a dlc +campaign sometime post launch, could also include Hungarians/Romanians as well (we all keep forgetting them).
