If your Shermans got eaten by R-35 or H-35, that's indeed bad luck.
But the Somua & B1 bis' 47mm can still be dangerous if you let them come too close ...
Usa didn t care about tank crew protection as the german did.
Doesn t realy matter, all you need for this game is halftrack and u got you victory!
Keep them behind your recon units at all times...
Tanks are blind.
Average armor, average gun, ... but that's also one made it one of the best tank of the war: easily produced, reliable, jack-of-all-trades but master in none, it performed well on its own and could call in a lot of friends when it wasn't able to deal with a problem itself.
the sherman was a deathtrap https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=26vzjlYhJnE
Sherman was not designed specifically to exchange blows with enemy tanks and come out unscathed. In the later stages of the war it mostly faced German infantry and it did very well in that regards. It's not the best tank, but it's an okay tank and it did its job.
And it's ironic you ask someone to do some 'homework' and then you throw in some stupid myth "tommycooker". Why don't YOU go check on those 'tommycookers'?
Do you understand how attacking and defending work? Do you understand that if the Germans had attacked into prepared positions they too would have lost a lot of material while gaining ground?
Do you understand that when the Germans were using MkIIs and IIIs they were winning the war, the Big Cats only cost them in the end.
Also, Malfunction has it right, you are quoting myths. If you hate how strong the American tanks are now, wait till the T-34s show up and roll over the top of you.
