Thank you for supporting ShapeLab by purchasing the early access software.:) We know that some important features are still missing, including handling multiple objects and detail layers. We are a small team but we are continuously working on implementing all these features, while also improving performance and UI.
Right now, multiobject is the next big step in this direction and we plan to implement it in the next 3 months, along with other features, like vertex painting. This means if you’re looking to be able to handle and sculpt separate objects at the same time, you only have to wait a couple of months. :)
Right now we can’t say the exact timing of the features (like detail layers) coming after that, but surely we will keep on releasing updates, always relying on the feedback we get from our users. Thank you for your patience!
Best,
Leopoly Team
When will you be implementing layers?
Do you intend providing a UI to numerically input transforms for those layers?
That is, Translation/Rotation/Scale.
Hi RitchieJ,
Thanks for reaching out.
"Layers" as it is called in Medium? A basic version of it is already implemented and available. Shapelab already supports the handling of multiple objects. We will continue working on this in the upcoming months and publish updates of our multi object handling system including the ability to transform your objects with numerical inputs and organize them in a hiherarchical manner. Multi-selection is also planned to be implemented.
Or "Layers" as it is called in Blender and zBrush?:)

I was thinking along the lines of Medium’s layer system –
But any procedure to isolate objects for manipulation is useful.
I’ll keep an eye out for when you implement numeric inputs for transforms –
And then purchase your app, as precision is often essential for my hard-surface workflow.
Alright,
Duly noted:)
