Where Hyperdimension Neptunia: Producing Perfection ?
Yay, all Neptunia games are on Steam, and Cyberdimension Neptunia is coming...but where Hyperdimension Neptunia: Producing Perfection though?

the concept of "Idols" is not well known here in the west so they are not that confident on making a port, other wise we'd already have em.

at least that's what I think about it, your free to make your own conclusion. (still i'd love it if they release it great game or not i'd still buy it)

I assume it would also fail on the licenses in the West.
The game is licensed to NIS America in the West - not to Idea Factory International. So maybe even if they wanted to they legally can't do it. And IFI is the driving force in bringing the games to Steam.

The original 3 aren't on Steam either. Pretty much for the same reason. Someone else holds the rights.

Through licensing hell.

It's not even a good game. It fails at being an Idol game and a VN, so I really don't see why people ask for it to be ported.

So they can play it and decide for themselves if they like the game or not. Or maybe because they'd like to have the complete set on one platform.

In short: PP is the worst spin-off that ever made in Neptunia series, whacky story experience and bland gameplay

Would love to have PP and the original trilogy here on Steam.

But Ideia Factory had a fall out with NISA and thats why we even have Rebirth instead of a "simple" remake of the original 3 games.

And now that IF self publish their own games, they will hardly use middlemen publishers again.

Maybe we could get a remake of PP :D

You mean NIS not NISA. The Re;Birth games would've been the same regardless except NISA and Gust are missing or replaced in Re;Birth 1 & 2.

I dont remember if Idea Factory had problems with NIS or the american branch in particular, but they had to change some more "legal" stuff (trademarked product name and such) in the remake due to NIS (and by extention, NISA) still having publishing rights to the older games.

You mean the script and the voicework? Made the most sense for Re;Birth1 since it was a complete remake while 2 & 3 had dome additional new content. The only copyright stuff would be NISA herself, the script and the voicework.

Gust is another story considering Tecmo KOEI bought out GUST.

I also mean the fact they couldnt re-release the new games on PS3, due to NIS owning the publishing rights there.

I dunno whats the deal with Gust, since they still exist under Tecmo Koei (the Atelier games here on steam were done by them). 5pb also doesnt exist independently anymore and yet she still shows up in the game.

Maybe Idea Factory doesnt like Tecmo Koei? :P

Re-release new games?

GUST was bought out by Tecmo KOEI a few years after mk2 came out which is why she has never re-appeared in the series (not saying it could never happen and she was DLC in Nights of Azure). Neither company also don't have any problems with one another.

Oh ok, its just kinda weird they simply took Gust-chan out of the series.

By new games i mean the re-birth ones. They couldnt release them on PS3(and PS4?) due to the publishing rights of those games "being" with NIS. From what i gather, NIS threatned going to court for contract breachment (i know the original trilogy and rebirth arent the same, but one can still argue on a court case, i guess).

Thus the whole problem.
