Should I even bother buying KOF14 with this low population? Should I get it on ps4 instead?

I mean this game is practically dead even at peak times. Whats the point of buying a fighter if everyone is playing offline mostly?

Do what's right for you. I bought the game on PC because it's my preferred platform, and because I decided not to buy a PS4.

We just had the 2nd Steam edition online tournament yesterday https://www.twitch.tv/videos/175639755?no-mobile-redirect=true, and the turnout wasn't too bad. 20 registered, and 15 made it. The first had 7 entrants. With any luck the third will be closer to the 32 player limit.

At the end of this week Dream Cancel will be hosting party battle for both the PS4, and PC.

I have great luck firing the game up, and joining a lobby for some random matches, but not always. Sometimes I have to ask people on the KOF Discord servers, or people on my friends list to play.

if you have any friends who plays 2d fighters with you as well online then get it on pc , if not then get it on ps4.The ps4 version will no doubt have more players than pc although it'll probably have lower player count than sfv and tekken 7

I'm not so sure. This is just anecdotal since there aren't any numbers for console players, but the PS4 players are on the Discord servers too, and I'm always seeing them post asking for games.
