Report a translation problem
I also had a different problem. When I set default font to Polish in my translation, the Chinese characters stopped displaying properly. I know i can set whatever font i want in all those text files, so glossary was perfectly fine. I had a problem with menu bars on the language selection and title screen tho. By setting one of the 3 languages contained in the game, everything was fine. When i selected "polish", all Chinese fonts on title screen and language selection dissapeared. I dont have access to those strings, but I think the selected language font shoulnt affect those fields, am I right? It shouldn't work like that. So, I combined two fonts into one. I added Polish characters to one of the fonts that are used in the game and it worked.
I haven’t had a chance to use the translation tool myself yet but the strings for the menus should be translatable and stored in a folder called screen in the polish folder or something. Good luck in any case!

When i was using polish font, language labels for(Chinese and Japanese?? im not sure) in the language selection dissapeared(also some glyphs on title screen). I think that those 2 boxes should be set on a different font by default, but actually they use the font i use for polish translation.
I think it's because the default font we use for the game contains the glyphs for English, Chinese and Japanese. Since the languages are displayed in an expanding list it might be hard to just get Chinese and Simplified Chinese to use the default font by themselves but I'll be sure to mention it to someone on the team. At least it shouldn't impact anyone wanting to use you fan-translation. Good luck!
Hi DonWojtasI, the translation rework is done for the most part and we should be looking to include it as a part of our upcoming Steam Trading Card update next month along with some other stuff!
