NOTE: If you own SHENZHEN I/O, you don't need to purchase SHENZHEN SOLITAIRE! After solving a few puzzles in SHENZHEN I/O, a link to a full version of SHENZHEN SOLITAIRE will be placed on your in-game desktop for you to play.

So, no... :'(

It's exactly the same game. There's no point in buying it if you have I/O. I did anyway, but that's because I'm terrible with money awesome.

Yeah, I know now, but it is still cool to own it to be able to launch it on any machine with 100 MB download. I would have hoped to get it automagically. I might just end up gifting it to people not interested in the whole SHENZHEN I/O.

By the way, your hidden gem is getting some attention after that RPS article.

Yeah, +1 for I/O owners getting this for free. There's plenty of precedent of other developers doing this sort of thing.

This game is not a sequel of I/O or remastered version for it ,why is it reasonable be free for I/O owners? Lmao, show us the plenty of precedent of other developers:LaRoche:

Did you read the store description or the rest of the thread? I see you don't own either game, so I guess you are just ignorant of the context here. I'll explain..

Yes, it's somewhat akin to developers providing other versions (e.g. remastered/old versions/whatever) of their game free. In this case, the content is apparently an identical subset of I/O.

Here, I'll help you out with a direct quote from the store page:

Now, you might think that unlocking it in the base game is somehow hard, but you'd be wrong. Since I/O is a static puzzle game, it would only take a few minutes to look and enter the answers to the first few puzzles.

I also think that'd it'd be nice if we got this for free if we already own the game, even though we can already play the game from within I/O.

In the end, I'm not faulting them, no matter which way they go with it. But it'd be nice.

Does I/O have the achievements for this game? Because I can see why some may spend $3 for a few achievements. That and if one is not interested/stumped in I/O, they may uninstall it. But this is less space on a drive that may be competing for such a valuable rescource on some machines.

Really should be free for I/O owners, either this stand-alone version, or just a "solitaire-only" version of the game packaged with the main I/O game.
Yes, I know I could just launch I/O and play it there, but really I want to be able to play both games (the solitaire, and I/O itself) without affecting the Steam playtime of the other. I don't care about the solitaire playtime TBH, but would like my I/O playtime to actually reflect the time spent playing that game. Preferably if the solitaire achievements still counted for the main game.
