How to get to Omicron Lyrae from Albion?

I know there's supposed to be a gate through DeVries, but DeVries is only like three sectors with nothing in them. Am I missing something? The main quest in my game is stuck in the 'xenon activity' loop, is it something that opens up after that point in the main quest?

Doing this from memory so there could be mistakes, but i seem to remember:

Albion -> DeVries -> Omicron Lyrae,
Albion -> Fields of Opportunity -> Omicron Lyrae,
Albion -> Cold Star -> Toride -> Maelstrom -> Omicron Lyrae

The gate from DeVries to Omicron Lyrae is in a Sector called Molten Archon. Off to the east, if i remember correctly.

Thanks. Yeah, I've seen the maps, but for some reason I can't find the zones via the highways in DeVries. Maybe I need to go off the grid to find them? I'm worried that since I seem to be stuck on that Xenon mission loop that effects a lot of people, the other areas haven't been unlocked via the main 'story' quest.

i don't think any space starts locked out in any of the XRVR gamestarts, so unless you're running the mod that adds the XR campaign to XRVR, the gate should be open. i THINK the highway goes right to the gate, but i've never been to Omicron Lyrae so can't say for sure. Just make sure you're in the right sector, i guess.

You mentioned that you've seen the maps, but in case you haven't seen the sector map:

Says that the gate's in zone Vapour Stream, sector Molten Archon, system DeVries.

If you are running the XR campaign, yeah, that gate starts inactive but you should still be able to find it if you got to DeVries in the first place.

Just remembered, some of the stations got moved around in XRVR. Guess it's possible that that gate got moved as well.
