Could you please elaborate a bit on what exactly you mean with Twine's "play" part?
What would you like to do with articy, what would be your main usage?
Best regards,
Karsten
Hi Karsten,
I'll try my best to describe! In Twine once you write passages (or scenes) and have them connect to each other, you can play them like a text adventure. I think this is a better way to describe it? http://philome.la/NotASeaTurtle/character-settings/play
I wanted to ask since I found that playing conversation trees like this gives a nice overview of the "game pacing and feel" without all the other visual garbage. Think of it as the yellow room or something similar but for text adventure.
I primarily use Articy as a planning tool and lately as a scripting tool and the flowchart is helpful. But Twine lets me play it so I was wondering if it's possible for articy to incorporate something similar somehow.
articy has a simulation mode. To start the simulation, choose the flow element you’d like a starting point, right click and select “Start presentation from here”.
There are two different options for the simulation: The player mode, which hides scripting and displays only elements a player would see in this situation; and the analysis mode which presents all information.
In this video you can see the simulation mode in action: https://youtu.be/9h3mVKbp8h0?t=511
Best regards,
Karsten
Awesome! Thanks! I somehow missed that.
