articy:draft 3

articy:draft 3

Upgrade from articy:draft 2?
I bought articy:draft 2 on the last winter sale for $50. That was less than two months ago. Now I see that 3rd revision is out and in order to get it I have to pay another $60 (with a 15% preorder discount) ... I also received a 35% discount coupon but even if I use it, the price would be $45 which is still a considerable amount of money. And there are no upgrade options available on Steam.
So, isn't it a bit unfair? I could have waited a little more than a month and bought articy 3 straight away for $60, instead I have to purchase the product twice: articy draft 2 for $50 and articy 3 for $45. That is too much. In my opinion, the upgrade from articy 2 to 3 should cost less than 50% of the final product price.

You're right. The problem is that there is an issue with the coupons and we wait for Steam to fix it. Because the 35% coupon should stack with the 15% for a total of 50%, which does not work at the moment.
Please have a look at our shoppage thread to be informed when this issue is fixed: articy:draft 3 coupon issue

Nevigo, did you even read the OP? Fragile said the price is too much even with the combined 50% discount. How is telling someone to wait for the coupon to get fixed supposed to be a satisfactory answer? Apart from whether the price is fair or not, you should at least comprehend the complaint before you reply to it.

Is the issue brought on by OP meaning that buying articy 3 straight up is cheaper than for people who are upgrading thus I guess it seems like not rewarding loyal customers who supported previous products?
I don't know his actual prices so I can't tell.

As for me, I saw the news claiming to be fixed but it seems the discount doesn't seem to be stacking for me even after adding to the cart and it looks quite high a price to me too to instantly purchase.
It seems to be allowing a maximum discount of 35% only.

The issues with the coupons is now fixed. The 35% discount coupon for owners of articy:draft 2
stacks with the introductory discount of 15% for a total discount of 44.75%.

But in the cart only the 35% discount will be shown, not the 15% introductory disocunt. Both discounts together will only shown at the checkout.

No, it is not cheaper to buy articy:draft 3 straight up. Because then you will receive only the 15% introductory discount. But if you have bought articy:draft 2 before, you will receive an extra 35% upgrade disocunt coupon, which stacks together with the introductory discount to a total discount of 44.75%.

@pshurd: We have read the post of fragile. and respect his opinion. If fragile finds a 44.75% discount for upgrading to a new major version is too much than this is his personal opinion which we'll absolutely respect. There are other opinions which think the price is fair, so everybody has to decide for himself how much something is worth for him.

Hey, in your first post in the thread you mention 50% total, but now its 44.75%. Maybe change the coupon value to 42% rather than 35% to make it a total of 50%? Thanks for providing the coupon anyways!
Articy | Carsten Schröder  [developer] Feb 17, 2017 @ 4:09am
Hey Kullu, the two discounts will not be added but discounted one after another, which results in a total discount of 44.75%. And we cannot change the coupon value anymore. So I'm really sorry if we have give you false hope with the 50%, but it is really 44.75%, and not more.

Is what you meant by introductory discount the launch sale discount? I still don't seem to be getting more than 35% discount even at checkout with my calculations. I'm using the 35% discount coupon. Even with the 15% coupon I got from Void Dweller, I can't stack them and I also can't stack with the sale discount. Nothing stacks. Steam still require payment only after 35% discount. It's not fixed for me as far as I can tell.

Yes, the lauch sale discount of 15% should stack with the 35% discount coupon to a total discount of 44.75% at checkout. If this will not work for you, please logout from your Steam client and after login again it should work.
Otherwise you have to contact the Steam support.
