Why is there no Japanese?

I am a fan of the Raiden series in Japan.
Raiden is originally a Japanese game.
Why is there no Japanese in the language?
Is it so difficult to divert PS4 language files and add Japanese to language options?

Raiden V is not a problem-free game even if there is no Japanese like the series so far, because the story is emphasized, language support is essential game.


Even the store page appeals to the Japanese until it translates unnaturally by the translation tool, why is there no Japanese in the game?
How are you thinking about Japanese shumups gamers?
Sales of the Raiden series are high in North America, but you do not even even know that even in Japan you are hitting record hits?
Do not you know the rating of "Raiden Legacy" in Japan?


I also know that cost is required to divert PS4 language files.
Due to differences in fonts and differences in screen rendering, we know that problems can occur such as characters out of the frame, unnatural spacing occur, and some characters are not displayed.
I also know that if you diverted from PS4 you have to change the sentences such as "Playstation Network" for steam.
Users can understand that it costs more to change and check such parts.
However, because it was originally developed by a Japanese game company, is not it a solution that could be solved by communicating with the original development company?
Is not it a negligent to delete it without doing it?

The absence of cooperation among such companies can be seen from the translation using tools on the store page.
Because of that, this game is a Japanese game, but the situation that the store page is unnatural Japanese by the translation tool has occurred.

In this case, it is no problem simply to port the language file.
Please insert a language file of Japanese so that it can be selected from options.

Well guys, I find it funny that Raiden V: DC doesn't have a checkmark for JP voices, which means its probably not included, but in the GOG version, it has them, but from what I checked from that version, the voice files there are interchangeable with the language settings and require a rename of files to have English text with JP voices, and the opposite works as well.

Good news. Just by slightly rewriting the "setting.ini" in the game directory, the UI and the sound become Japanese.
It seems that it can not be changed only as voice, but as a Japanese, I am satisfied with this.

Thanks for the info. They should patch the Steam version properly since it is apparently not a problem. Japanese voices with english subs works perfectly in a ton of games (see Caladrius Blaze; same developer)

The game is pretty cool but I can't take these english voice-overs. There must be a way to patch in the original Japanese voices...

I was realized that RaidenV is using "media_ex" folder and ignored "media" folder for game content, and some files' size is same with "media" folder (and it's just file type on media_ex). Sounds can't be replaced or moved, or it will crash the game on loading screen.

But, still can change the language on rom folder, just rename _jpn.mma to _eng.mma, but need backup the _eng.mma first (ex: _eng1.mma). Well, I don't recommend to rename it. That's at your own risk.
Notes : don't change roundxx_side_eng.mma or some dialogue, or it will crash.

you could see some files and exe.

just in case, backup original files which your going to override in "drive:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Raiden V" directory. And then override files inside
depot_570051 into drive:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Raiden V.

Remember, cut Cloud sync off. otherwise game client try to update when it run. :P

maybe they have deleted the file somehow.I have dowload the GOG version,and there exits a setting,ini file in the game floder.More importantly,i have succeed in changing the game version into a Japanese one ,after I downgrade the game(copy files in depot_570051) and copied a .ini file into the game folder.Just add my steam if u need it.("setting.ini" file)如果你是国人的话，我从网盘分享一下也可以。
