the DLC content has to be enabled under Options -> Video each time you start the game (the option isn't sticky to keep it kid-safe).
If you'd like to have it enabled permanently, you can find instructions on how to do that here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/569860/discussions/0/1694914736012837318/
Thank you! This was bothering me! I thought it was a bug until I looked closer at the Store page.
What are you talking about? Go to the store page for Thimbleweed. It's right there, and it's $1. Also, after purchase you just check a box in the options within the game. No need to start a new game from the beginning. Here's a direct link to the DLC:

To be honest... I played the *beep*ed version and the uncensored one...
Although I really abhore the practice to beep out every well placed swearword (I lost interest in some tv series because of this bullcrap), I enjoy the censored version of Thimbleweed Park more than the free cursing one.
Sometimes it adds to the charme of the game to have a character to be so offensive that he has to be beeped over for poor american children not to hear swearwords while stocking up on weapons to go to school...
But Ransome... it just works... he's beeping great!
Also: The uncensored swearing of another protagonist (in the non-DLC game) is so much more poignant with ransome and his beep-o-matic :)
But ive played through the game there now and i must admit i enjoyed it more than my first reply indicated, i would have liked the option to get the uncensored dlc there though as Ransome is in around 90% of the game and it really got on my nerves around chapter 4-5 that i had to sit through the entirety with it being beeped out. Either they should have made the game with a option to enable it or made the dlc free later on or included in the newest version of the store. This beeping alone didnt kill the experience too much for me but i would personally never play it again due to the beeping alone, its obviously not a a decision that makes it stand out in the poin n click genre though as theyre mostly 1 off games anyway so its not a problem i guess. But good game overall i didnt like Delores character overall and the voice actor/lines of agent Reyes though personally though, aside from that it was good.
It's the *German* games, not the American ones, that censor out the blood, violence and swastikas. Maybe your country has the "poor" sensitive "children" that need to be protected from scary images.
And making fun of school shootings? Real classy.
Oh, you're in Nuremberg, maybe just stop judging Americans, hmm.
