What Am I Missing?

So ... in order to get rid of Unusable Stone, I need to build a Stone Remover. Except the Stone Remover requires gold. To get gold, I have to tax my citizens, but to be able to tax my citizens, I need a treasure room. To build the treasure room, I need ... stone.

This is a Perfect Catch 22. Now, I can't imagine any Dev would be so bonehead stupid to leave a gamebreaking bug like that in the game.

So what am I missing? How come I can't figure out any way to get around this Catch 22? I want to like playing this, but it's hardly fun if all I can do is build hovels and farms.

Look for the lighter gray stone (almost white) on the map. Click on it and you should see something like 'stone you can quarry'. Build a quarry there, man it, and you should start getting stone to use.

It shouldn't be possible for unquarryable stone to spawn and completely block quarryable stone anymore. If that is in fact what happened, report it to the devs and just get a new map seed to play on.

you need to build a quarry next to grey like appareance stone and have enough people to work in it and you should get stone.Unusable stone is just a annoying thing that you can only destroy in the late game

normally the map want allow you to place down your keep because there is no available stone(usable is locked) so seeds like those are normally reported
