City Design
Hey guys i just kinda go with the flow when building cities and it works until about population 540 and then overcrowding and poor design early on kinda screws me over.

Do you guys have blocks (like real life city blocks) designed with amenities in them to take care of them? Or just a rule that you follow that keeps things organized? Thanks!

I build 'organically' until I hit a pop of about 100. Then I start using roads to lay out city blocks that are 9x9. I have found the 9x9 city blocks to be really good.

I like a lay out of 9 city blocks. The center block has my market, town square, bathhouse etc... The other 8 blocks around the center block all have 4 manors each, with just enough room to stick in a extra taverns and other small buildings as needed. Each manor has 25 ppl, so each block has 100 ppl, for a total of 800.
