The Mysterious death

I keep getting the message that "tragically, One of you peasants has died under mysterious circumstances" is this telling me someone died and it wont tell me or is this just a random thing to increase difficulty or what?

yeah it just happens sometimes, i think its to provide more depths yknow like maybe someone is killing people or the witch took them or they left and didnt tell anybody. you cant stop it

Its one of those flavor text things, they probably just gonna die of old age anyways, this just makes it more interesting. It can backfire though, I was testing stuff in a creative world with no water and "Unfortunately" of my peasants drowned...
