Dead dragons being butchered and collected. Why?
After you kill a dragon, your villagers go tear it apart and collect each piece. But... why? Could it be food?

Yes, they get a food boost from the dead dragon.

Each dragon seems to be worth the same amount of food, I’d estimate somewhere in the ballpark of 50 units. The first time I noticed it I was shocked, it was like watching Skyrim adventurers pick apart a dragon for loot except this dragon was going to boost town morale for the kill AND feed my hungry citizens. The farmers got a well deserved break from toiling in the fields and got to help the wood cutters out for a season.

Basically any time I take out (a) dragon(s), I pull a lot of my food production off for that season and instead do a huge resource push. Works out really nicely in every case so far.

That being said there WAS a glitch where if you save/quit before the dragon was fully dismantled, it would be converted into wheat crop blocks, and the peasants couldn’t pick them up. I don’t believe this problem currently persists but I haven’t quit right after a dragon kill recently.
