Cemeteries?
I'm confused about cemeteries. I get the grave keepers gather the dead bodies and cemeteries is where they are buried, But do I need to constantly expand the cemetary as my peasants die? Cause they die a lot and I'm afraid I won't have enough room at some point.

Exactly, this new update is ♥♥♥♥♥ as fx. More than 1000 people died in 10years cuz of the plague. And the plague is always come from lack of space in cemeteries. I built 30 cemeteries but still cannot cover the 2000population. I mean what's the point of the cemeteries? Making game harder? or just developer enjoy ruining the kingdom with nonsense speed of spreading plague.

Looks like when you can demolish a cemetary after its full and build a new one. This helps to deal with lack of space.

I don't quite understand the cemetaries either. But demolishing an rebuilding seems to be a suitable workaround. Anyway, don't forget to save from time to time. Today I've nearly lost my whole kingdom, because suddenly the game lagged (single digit FPS) and ther was a plague at the same time. Nearly 2000 people died.

I started a new kingdom once this update dropped. I knew it would break my existing kingdom and didn't want to mess with reconstruction. One important detail I discovered is that cemeteries will gradually vacate space to make room for new dead. It's a slow process, but it thankfully means your entire kingdom won't eventually be filled with cemeteries.

I guess if the rate of death people is high, especially when peasants die because of the plague because doctors not efficient of curing the town(doctor skips a sick peasant right next to him because he had a predetermined course to his next patient a lengthy way.), you could just scrap and replace the cemetary.

You don't need to constantly expand, like Zorlock Darksoul mentioned, grave sites will eventually be made available again, so in theory if your population stayed constant, you would never need to expand your cemetery (except to handle a sudden large amount of deaths like plague). Each tombstone can be used again after 5 years. I'll add some text about this to the cemetery description so it's more clear.

Nope, we definitely don't enjoy that! We want the update to be fun for everyone :). Thanks for the feedback, we'll probably be doing a quick patch in the next day or so to make sure plagues from dead bodies aren't too frequent and punishing. I'm wondering if you can also send me your save game? I can take a look at it and use it to find out what's up and we can use it to help tune the mechanics. Saves are in %AppData%\..\LocalLow\LionShield\Kingdoms and Castles\Saves\, email to contact@lionshieldstudios.com

Can you send me your save from before the game lagged if you still have it? I want to check it out on our dev build to see if we can see what went wrong there (Saves are in %AppData%\..\LocalLow\LionShield\Kingdoms and Castles\Saves\, email to contact@lionshieldstudios.com).

@petey: Yes, I still have the game. There are three files in the folder created on that current time. Made a zip out of them.

Anyway: With lots of trial and error I managed to recover my kingdom again. Lucky me, I had enough money. Step one: Loaded the desasterous savegame. Pause. Step two: Switched off every archer, every builder etc.,Step three: Put doctors and cemetery workers into first priority, made several festivals, payed the witch ("friends forever") to kill all vikings, because my defense was totally off ...

It took me a few tries - but then I could continue somehow.

I even managed to have another "Kingdom of the Gods" a few minutes ago.

:)

In advance - thanks a lot for your support.
