Viking Invasions VS Outpost - A broken mechanic.
So i came back to this game looking forward to play with ports and boats with the new outpost. I Built a nice new main city on a lovely map filled with islands perfect for outposts. I Placed my first outpost and built a port/harbor and started shipping over goods.

Here's the problem; When my small little outpost only had around 20 people, a viking invasion happened. Over 10 Boats filled with soldiers and orgers sailing in my land. I got my soldiers on the main land into position to defend only to notice that the massive viking army had landed on my outpost island.
Obviously they pillaged and burned my new little town to the ground with me having no hope aat all to defend it or even keep damage to a minimum. Ended up happening 2 more times when i was trying to get the outpost back on it's feet. Only managed to build it up since the next times the vikings decieded to go for my main island.

So the point im trying to make here is that viking invasions scaled by my massive main city shouldn't be able to wreck havoc on newly founded outposts making it really hard to even build them up.
Will there be anything to fix this in the future ? As it stands now i don't even wanna deal with outposts anymore.

I was worried about that when I saw the outpost mechanic introduced. Invasion size seems to be based on total population, but the areas they target seem random. Unless your outpost defenses are matched in strength to those of your main kingdom, it doesn't seem possible to repel invasions if the outpost gets targeted. It would be nice if vikings decided that a small outpost only warranted one or two ships, while the rest of their fleet moved closer to the main kingdom (which clearly should have more spoils to entice them).

Yeah, i initially thought that since islands would have their own storage of resources and own population size. That they would also have their own scaled invasion either togheter with all the other islands or random attacks on random islands scaled to the targeted island.
The last thing i want to do when settling a new outpost is to instantly have to pump as much rock and wood as possible to build towers for defence instead of you know, actually building and growing it. Just to fend off a massive invasion that really shouldn't have landed on the island in the first place.

Vikings should ignore outposts until they reach over 50 people, so if they showed up when you only had 20 that would be a bug. I'll investigate on my end.

However, scaling them per landmass definitely makes sense. We'll get that in the next update!

Thanks for the answer and consideration regarding scaling with outposts.
If it's to any help with the bug, I only had around 20 people living there. But i had enough housing for over 50. Maybe there's some confusion in the game regarding it?
