OP Early game invasions

So Ive gotten rather decent at the game (or so i think) but every time i start a new game the first invasion i get is 2 viking ships which just ruin my town with fire. Being only at like turn 30ish its impossible to defend against 2 viking attacks and still have enough people to put out 4-6 fires.



Any help is appreciated, kinda ruins the game for me since it ruins the kingdom

build a castle wall and archer tower to help defend your town at the very least, or try lots of wells in the city

Might be a off topic, but is there a peaceful mode? Thinking about buying it, because I like city planners, but not if my cities get burned to the ground constantly. Thanks.

Yes. I think the easy setting has no vikings or dragons.

Yeah i have a few but they dont protect against 2 ships early game.

I'm at a point I had 6 ships with 3 ogres. You wouldn't believe the damage I had to repair, I was still repairing walls when the next 5 ship invasion started. Also got a screenshot of being attacked by 3 ships, 1 ogre and a dragon at the same time :D Naturally, the dragon sees the vikings as allies to the cause!

ok so immeadeatly stop expanding your population. Break all the extra homes and ♥♥♥♥ until u only have 30-35 beds left and then let the vikings coem and raid you. Viking raid are based off of population. So just keep stockpiling resources and building up your city but DO NOT make more houses until you think you are ready to figth off de vikings. (Yes i did it i made until about 50 ppl and did the stockpiling and had a HUGE city I mean I am talking Minas Tirith style with only 50 people wandering about before i made any houses.)

Honestly, i fended off tghe first invasion with 2 towers, i put them in the centre of town and just buitl them fairly high, if you build 2 walls next to eachother you can keep boostign height by leveling up the other segment. build a tower that's about 9+ blocks high and the other 3+ above it, that should keep you fairly safe.

Important note. Ballista are useless vs viking groups, they only seem to work vs ogres and dragons sitting still.

I would love to see perhaps in time a Catapult also added in that has a shorter range but does an AOE
