Why do I lose half my food I grow?
Whenever my peasents harvest the crops they grow I always lose like half because they can't store it in time. Why is this happening? I have plenty of graineries.

Your graineries are too far away, they need to be fairly close.

Graineries have to be close and empty and housing also has to be close (as farmers get hungry so they go home > winter hits whilst they head back to the farm and all the crops die).

Be sure that they are not walking the food to the housing or markets instead of storing which is sometimes the issue. If it is then you might need to build more markets to keep other places stocked first which forces the farmers to move only between grainery & farm. This happens even if you have perfect location and pathing for storing the food and probably will be an AI tweak later on. I sat there watching farmers for hours and figure out this happens when houses (even newly built manors without residents) would stock up over storing.

Imo Granaries have to be too close, I just placed them on the other side of the wall (inner city) but now I lose 40% of my food. They are totally nearby. It's pretty inefficient how farmers are collecting food. A staffed farm should be able to collect its produced food unless Granaries are realls too far away.
