Questions about the PC version of Space Rogue

[The Mad Bomber]

I too loved this game when I was a kid, I played it Elite and many others on my Commodore 64. I have a couple of questions about this version.

Question 1: Can I load it straight through Steam and does it launch cleanly, (as I do for most of my other games)or do I need to use it via something like DosBox?

Question 2: Is the game conrolled solely through mouse and keyboard or can an X-Box 360 controller or a joystick work as well?

Could someone please answer the original post in this thread whilst the game is on sale for approximately 32 hours from now? I figure I can't miss if I buy this for $1.19 US but I would like to know in any case.

Super Late reply time!

1. It uses DOSBOX, which is already included with the install.

2. You can use a XBOX controller but you would have to use DOSBOX's own keymapper.

I did buy it, but I will have to give the keymapper a try. Thanks for the reply though.

Slight update, I re read the manual, the game does support joysticks, the info in the manual.

meglio il joystick si manovra meglio la navetta spaziale io uso il "dark tornado"

I am not sure if you can buy/procure other ships or are you stuck with the good old Sunracer?
