This is an interesting little game. The graphics are... different. It can be a bit short. It also would not surprise me if it is a translation of a Chinese game. Still, amusing and an interesting experiment. You might want to get the bundle, though as I think I bought the bundle for less than the main game.

The english in this game is hoooooorrible. If that's something that bothers you, definitely steer clear of Witch of Ice Kingdom II. However, I'm still going to give it a positive review because I enjoyed it more than many RPG maker games I've played on Steam. So what did I like about it? The graphics are unique and better than the RPG maker same old, same old. The story is interesting and even though the dialog made me cringe on a regular basis, I could still understand what was going on. The main character is a witch and can't attack normally - she can ONLY use magic so you have to strategize what spells to use to keep from running out of mp. Searching in out of the way barrels, crates, drawers, etc. is rewarded - I found some very neat items in places I wouldn't normally expect anything. Also, there's a free downloadable game included that's a short prequel to the main story. I'm going to play that next. I wouldn't say this is a fantastic game but I played it almost nonstop from beginning to end and that's saying something. I just wish this developer translated their games better.

Note: To obtain all achievements, you'll need to play both games. Also, accessories don't have descriptions so you should know that the "Talisman of Light" not only raises all your stats but also replenishes your hp a little every turn in battle so is very helpful in both games.

This game is poorly made. You have to grind to beat the first boss and then you just steamroll the rest without any effort. The translation is so bad that it might be the only reason to play the game.

Just started playing it seems like a nice story. Only problem with it is all the gramatical errors. I thought my english was bad before playing this game. But for a $5 game isn't a bad purchase. Just wish someone would of proof read it before release cause most of the errors are so obvious. Prolly the only thing that ruins the story.

Great story, amazing music, good graphics, and great characters. My only complaint is that it is a bit short. 9/10.

Not bad game, interesting to play

Witch of Ice Kingdom II is a short story-oriented RPGMaker RPG seemingly inspired by fairy tales, about a good witch named Nonoly and a prince named Gind, who reclaim Gind's throne from the evil witch from the original Witch of Ice Kingdom. It's got rather full custom art, which is neat, but it's not particularly good art, so it's kind of a wash, but it at least makes it stand out compared to things that just use stock assets.

Gameplay-wise, it's kind of boring and generic, with Nonoly as a spellcaster who is much more useful for most of the game, and Gind as a physical attacker who becomes very useful towards the end of the game. Past the first boss, which can deal 70% or more of your life in damage with a single attack, it's all quite easy, with many fights being over as soon as Nonoly can take a turn.

This leaves the story, which feels quite different from generic RPGMaker games due to its fairy-tale inspirations, but is very clumsily translated from Chinese. It's still decently servicable, more "engrishy" than incomprehensible, but for something where the story is the main attraction, it's a shame.

Final verdict is a weak thumbs-up - it's different enough from generic RPGMaker RPGs to be notable, but it's only about three hours long and not particularly good. But hey, it's neither overtly bad nor perfectly generic, either.

(As a note, I had trouble getting this game or the previous game to work until I changed the game's download directory to not have Ⅱ in it and ran it manually. Achievements and playtime still applied properly, so do that if your game is crashing on load.)

Did you ever wish there was an "ehh" option for steam reviews? I've played worse. This is an amateur game and you can tell (even aside from the translation, which is nothing short of stellar).

- The balance/progression isn't great but it's not totally unplayable either.

- The graphics are somewhat different from your usual RPG Maker fare, although it would probably be better if they were consistent with themselves, since like half of them were grid-based and half of them were isometric, or attempted to be.

- It's also not fantastically long, but considering how many amateur games just drag themselves on for like four times longer than they need to, that's not necessarily a bad thing.

- Most importantly, the game doesn't drop a pen!s joke every five minutes, like certain ones do. Translations aside, the story was actually sorta endearing.

I wouldn't play this if you wanted something with the production value of Final Fantasy or Tales or something. I also wouldn't buy it at full price. But if you're like me and don't have anything to do with your Friday night and it's on sale, it's certainly not a bad choice.

An awesome short game with a great story. I enjoyed it tremendously, I love the main character with her pumpkin obsession and she can turn into a cute kitty, too!

All in all Witch of Ice Kingdom II is a charming, wonderful, well-executed game that leaves you wishing it were longer.
