Ending without the end?
or end without ending?
[possible spoilers]

This was my first "novel" kind of game so possibly i could be missing something but i dont understand why there is no end to the otherwise interesting story?

So I went Karma and finished it and when beast dies I get "Bad End" and back to menu...I'm like wtf? What about story?
What happens to the king?
does she break the curse? Or choose not to?
does she/who survive that castle raid?
will she get that tumberstone (or whatever is that crystal called) to rule?
How did Alcaster remember her, who was Varg witch, why beast was beast and so on...

Basically nothing from the story is answered, its like movie cut in the middle. Sure beast dies but who cares? ok it could be sad but no reason to cut the story without conclusion :(

Also one more (stupid) question, store page mentions recommended play order (Rod, Karma, Rumpel, Fritz, Waltz) , does it mean these characters are playable ? I guess it could be the case and it could fill the story but how do i can play for them? Nowhere in menu i can find how to switch chars, only Ice Princess seems to be available...

first of all,yes Rod,Karma,Rumpel,Fritz and Walts each of them have both good and bad endings,so you only finished one ending,so of course there a lot of questions not answered, you get different endings by selecting different choices, you can use guides, like this one http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=928888203 after you get all the endings all the story will make perfect sense.

Oh! And the recommended play order is who you choose to court/partner with, not who you play as.

Yeah, I am not really satisfied with these 'bad endings' that are not telling anything - the aftermath, what happens to the other characters & so on. Basically, only the good endings actually tell you some details, but even they are not very informative - probably because the magical nature does not really allow much for explanations, or perhaps the devs didn't want to bother themsleves with the details, just the story...

You can choose which one's route you want to go with the character (Lucette by default) you named later - several horizontal windows will appear (at least, that's how it had been the last time I played), each with a part of these 5 (2 of them will be greyed out for a while... Until you get a few other good endings...) characters faces...
So, You still play as Lucette, only 1 out of these 5 fellas get the fortune to be judged by the ice princess in their adventure...

personally I avoid doing the bad endings cause its just so heartbreaking to have a negative conclusion after putting so much time into the game.

Do play the other routes and it will answer most of the questions.
Karma route is one of the fluffiest happy routes where almost everyone have a happy ending
But it skips out on a lot of plot. I thought the palace scene with the beast was pretty kick ass!

After you've played at least two characters eg Karma, Rod or Rumple, Fritz and Waltz unlocks and becomes a romancable partner.

Plot wise Fritz and Waltz has the most details and the most heartbreak ... Waltz route also has the most beautiful cgs drawn. but yeah definitely play his last.

Argh i really hate how devs did bad endings, it just cut the story cause the char dies...though I noticed otome tag in shop and googled it, so after all it kinda makes sense for target audience to just cut it. Too bad I cared for the story :)

So I went Rod and than Rumpel (really didnt like this one) and both bad endings (obviously) ,looks like i will have to use walkthrough to get 2 good endings to unlock other 2 stories.
Well at least some plot questions are already answered, like Alcaster, Mythros etc.

Though Rod's bad ending doesnt make much sense tbh, why not postpone wedding by few days, and cancel fairytale curse on 18th birthday? It makes me wonder how good ending will work around that.

You can turn on the 'right choice indicator' in the options menu. At least, that's how it was when I played back then. It basically shows when the right choice for which character is made - depending on the crystals color - near the edge of the screen. But it may show it after a few more scenes when the right choice is picked.
