Anyone know of 'free' VN's sort of like this?

Okay, so I've done a lot of searching, but I can't seem to find any related 'free' VN's like Cinderella Phenomenon. I played a game somewhat like this a while back, maybe about 1 or 2 years ago, but I can't seem to grasp the name... so, having said that, does anyone know of any free VN's, that maybe have a love triangle, and multiple choices? Like, with a bunch of guys, all loving one girl... Or something like that? A good demonstration of what I'm looking for, is an anime series called Diabolik Lovers. I'm looking for something a little, or a lot like that. This may not be related to Cinderella Phenomenon, but, I guess it's an outcry for help, as I'm in dire need of more games like this one. It really warms my heart. The saddest thing in Cinderella Phenomenon, is when the main character's lover, (if you chose that route, also, this is a spoiler...) Prince Rod, dies... I literally cried. It was a bad ending, uh... So, if anyone knows how to prevent his death as well, let me know...

I haven't played many free VNs yet. Namely Doki Doki Literature Club and Nekojishi. I enjoyed both. There's also a couple if VNs that I have put on my list but didn't have the time to try yet. Maybe you'll find something useful along them: Lucid9, Price, Cupid, XOXO Droplets and Amorous.

AIRIS seems to be the closest to Cinderella Phenomenon, especially considering the huge playtime. But something seems broken with their EULA agreement (it never loaded for me), so I steered clear of it.

There's also a free VN in my bookmarks, but I don't think it's available on Steam: Katawa Shoujo.

Some of the stuff is out here already, that I tried out, But one of the most interesting that I tried is:

Although, some did complain that translation is a little bad in some ways, for me it was good enough.
Sepia tears is also on steam.
By the way, are you interested in kinetic novels as well? If so, One thousand lies might be a good one too.

There is also another free visual novel by Dicesuki called Locked Heart which is based around Goldilocks that everyone should definately check out if you haven't played. Unfortunately it isn't on steam but should be easy to find if you search it up on google~

If you're looking for a VN that has a female character with a legit personality then I don't think there's much out there since this is a rarity, I do highly recommend Katawa Shoujo and Ozmafia though purely for their love interests and their personalities and their own stories (in KS you can turn off the H scenes so thats good too). I also recommend (considering what you wrote) that you keep a walkthrough nearby if you can't grasp the ending that you wanted, I rarely use them myself but I do recommend using one if you get too frustrated like I used to when I started out with dating sims and VNs.

Also, Aloners, thats a VN that I adore and always get such a connection to. There's only one guy nicknamed 'Trash' but the world is astoundingly interesting! Its free and if you want I can give you a link?

I think you are looking for this specific genre called Otome games, literal translation is maiden games. It means games targetting at female audience and you are able to date different guys in their respective routes and each route has different endings (good and bad). Cinderella Phenomenon is an otome visual novel.

I haven't played many but if you are looking for something deep and touching I recommend Mystic Messenger. It is an app, that is, playable on phone. It is free and has very very deep storyline, though I have to warn you to be prepared for this game. You will experience a roller coaster of emotions that you probably will never get to experience in any other games.

You have 5 characters - 4 dateable with around 6 endings each, 1 friendship route also with multiple endings. The game is divided into 3 parts - Original Story (relaxed and chill with nice stories), Deep Route (rather intense but still good), Another Story (this comes with trigger warning, play at own emotional risks).

It isn't available on Steam though. It is unfortunate because the game is designed to sync with your local timezone and is chatroom-based. VNs are included from time to time.

I know that it's been a year but I just wanted to second Mystic messenger, it's one of my favorite Otome games of all times. It's also what kind of got me into these types of games. I also enjoyed playing the Arcana the 3 main routes are completed but there's 3 other side routes that's still ongoing but it'll be done soon enough. Also you can play their routes at the same time if you want.

Yeah what you're looking for are otome games. There are a lot of free vn on steam but there aren't as many otome games and even fewer ones that are free. It's a pretty niche genre. The ones that aren't free are really good and easy to find on steam (read reviews because sometimes there are translation issues) but I'd wait for sales because they can be a bit pricey and some go down a lot, like Amnesia (recommended, anime adaptation isn't great). Free otome games... I'm kinda surprised no one mentioned Seduce Me the Otome. CP and Seduce Me are basically the main two here. There's also Tailor Tales (includes fashion designer/ dress up game) which I'd recommend. The dev is slowly releasing new guys (three so far) but it won't be finished for a year or two. You can buy an 18+ dlc or become a patron to play games not released yet. Would recommend.

Two others are Lake of Voices and Magical Otoge Ciel. I don't remember MOC but reviews look promising and LoV isn't really romance focused but apparently it's tagged as otome so idk.

Mobile otome.. I'd be wary because there is so much trash. A lot require you to buy gems to progress the story. I've tried playing MM twice and never got very far into it. Didn't like the UI, there were too many characters to keep track of, wasn't invested in the story etc. but so many otome fans love it so also I'd recommend it.

Obey Me is a mobile otome that combines vn with card gatcha and a basic dance game that you do to advance the story. The UI is basically a phone with apps so you can get calls and messages (like MM) but also do daily tasks and there's Devilgram (instagram clone), events etc. I'd recommend checking it out at least although it might be a bit overwhelming at first. The devs are great.
