I'm sure I needed a break, too lol. I'll try the hidey-hole tactic!
Bottlenecking mobs doesn't seem to work for me, as alot of the mobs either have crazy reach, or can move through any space you can. Combat is the weakest part of this game. I love the rest.
Even 1 vs 1 is killed without a doubt.
The potion is useless, and the weapon's power is weak.
Battle balance is bad, it is not fun.
I want a mode that can be played more casually :/
You do not get hit 100% of the time if moving while attacking. Here's a fun fact the enemy will stop to attack. This gives the player the chance to flank or move around the mob to avoid an attack.
You do not know how to use the weapons then.
You are describing battle strategies that can be done with either weapon. Obviously you don't know how to use the weapons then. My point is specifically "when swinging" not "during the whole battle". You try flanking mid-swing and see if you can move fast enough to sidestep an attack. I bet you can't. Otherwise, sidestepping attacks while NOT swinging can be done with either weapon.
The scenery is useful, though this isn't always an option, using the bow whilst retreating (assuming you have an area to retreat into) is a good way to whittle down health, but watch out for aggroing something behind you.
Other than that, the only other thing I find useful is to 'think like Diablo', the game kinda reminds me of it anyway, so that helps, but I'm often spamming the health-relevant button before I even make contact with the enemies, health boosts stack by appearances, you can be gaining health as fast as you are losing it if you start eating 'before' the creatures reach you.
Yessss, that's totally what it reminds me of. I keep my bread and meat in my quickbar for after major fights, but I'm basically beating up goblins and shoving mushrooms into my face like I'm at a music festival. It helps.
Death Reaper goblin * Giant deamon * ( they charge you hit * backward * Then foward hit Rince and repeat *
Scorpion (Melee style) Keep Going backward while swi'ging
Scorpion (ranged Style) Turn around them ( Small radius ) not to close, not to far, Wait for their 2-3 shot before they change spot hit them.
Big buck- are a little bit faster on rotation and movement speed ( manageable to kill them getting hit like 3-4 time ) Turning around them.
Skeleton 2handed sword - very slow no need explaination -
skeleton With two 1h-axe hit fast but weak dmg turning around them or backward tips aren't 100% working. better than facetanking them tho.
i don't know what im missing else.. ( using two of a kind of weapon/tool trick ) Exemple... having 1 handed sword in Hot key (1 & 2 ) Hit and swap to 2 hit again, Or use it to cancel the animation so you can move freely after that.
*Tool* Axe/shovel/Pick use 2 of em at the same time to gather faster. Swap between them while ''gathering /cutting / picking''
Use ur bed often To recover hp/stam instead of all ur food !
I'm using 2 onehanded sword and a bow. Movement neckless and confort T1 to last tier. always the same.
Now that i've put that out, i still have questions about the combat, do you hit them and them move or you move while hitting, even if that means you practicly don't move?
And also, those hints of trapping mobs, i don't think they work in the beggining, because you die really quick. i am still lvl 4, began playing yesterday, but today i got chased by tons of mobs really close to the beach of the beginning, where there should be only a few goblins, especially because when i go out of the base i have to go through there, and every time i hunt down the mobs nearby.
How does respawn work in this game? and are there areas of mobs or they all roam around all the map?
