"renewable non farmable resources"
palmleaves, coconuts, bananas, apples and sunflowers. "I know about kicking, to get more, but I'm wondering how efficacious it is to leave them once harvested. I'm still unsure if they regrow in time, or not. but I hear there's a jungle somewhere that's got buttloads, and I'm working on a perimeter path, to make use of the multiple other beaches. so it seems that just breaking bushes is worht more than smacking at bushes you've harvested in futility.

feedback, and thoughts?

Kicking trees is only meant as an early alternative to gather resources, just in case you expend the ones that are lying on the ground before crafting basic tools.

Trees and bushes don't ever regrow or regenerate over time; you only can get so many sticks, leaves and food from each tree or bush. I noticed that if you kick a bush several times before you break it, it gives fewer resources.

Don't worry too much about cutting too many trees or bushes, just be careful not to open too many breaches on the natural barrier that the starting zone has, ideally you want to have only one way out.

In almost any other biome the vegetation is very dense, with almost no natural paths or open spaces. So you’ll have to chop a lot of trees and bushes, even if you not going there specifically for that. That will keep your stockpile while you obtain the circular seedbed that would make logs, sticks, palm leaves, apples and sunflower seeds renewable. At the moment you cannot grow coconut or banana trees.

Plantable late game.
Palmleaves, wood, sticks, apples and sunflowers.

Biomes that have plenty of these.
Coconuts and bananas. Jungle / beaches.

Nothing regrows in the wild.

great feedback, thanks! ok, so I just have to get to a higher level and I can regrow stuffs, that's good to know! for now, I did notice that there's a goodly ammount of plams to get just by exploring further. but knowing I can farm most everything later on, is good to know.
