What happen to tattletail?

So, this game was out about 4 years and got a free DLC about a year later, but what happen to the game? I've seen SFMS about the game, but don't see any updates/DLCS or any sequels about it, did they quit making progress to the game? or are they gonna make something huge?

Either way, this game used to be pretty popular and a huge game, but they just stopped working on it. Like, BATIM which is going to have another game and is also really popular, but why would they stop working on it?

If they ever make another game, or probably a prequel it should be focusing on the eyes of a waygetter factory worker and see what might've turned mama into something evil, something horrifying.

Y'know that'd be kinda cool if we get to see a prototype papa, I mean it would've been neat if the prototype papa might've did something to not make into the final cut for it's release.

Well, I don't truly get why they abandonded the game, they could've just expanded the lore a bit, get a few key points here and there.

Though, what the hell happened to it? this game was very popular back in 2016, but they've abandoned the game for a reason i guess.

i wouldn't say they abandoned it. after all the game story and dlc was finished plus the game didn't have anymore bugs to fix. of course they could always add onto the story

also, learning about a "papa" tattletail would be really cool. I would love it. Also, Ellie, a waygetter worker would be cool. Maybe they could make it so that you are the waygetter worker in the tape that was in storage on the ad. (The first VHS that you can play (the bedroom one)) It could be really cool to see this from the perspective of an adult, or even some flashbacks except they are in tattletail's perspective, seeing mama bully, attack, or even kill/destroy one of her friends.

Either he possibly halted the project or... probably he could be planning something big as on twitter, he said he's thinking of a Tattletail series, but gotta say, I would totally kill for a tattletail series, as this game was really huge at the time of its release.
