Theories about the actual "Mama." (Possible Spoilers!)

I might be way out in left field, but here are some theories I have about the child's mom in the game.
After knocking on her door several times you'll eventually hear her yawn. Then nothing happens.
I never thought anything out of the ordinary until night 4, out in the back yard. I was looking for eggs when I noticed a window leading into the moms room. Curious to see what was on the other side of her door, I jumped up on the window sill and peaked in.

To my surprise...nothing. Just a neatly kept bedroom with no one in bed. Now, I didn't know if the developers couldn't render in someone sleeping in bed, or if this was intentional. Further into night 4 you have to survive for a minute and a half. If you knock on the moms door during this time, the door opens and you are met with a jumpscare from Mama.

Could it be that maybe the mom is dead? Perhaps Mama killed her, or more interestingly, her soul is trapped inside Mama. It could be that when Mama kills someone she's eating their soul? Or trapping them inside of her? Maybe people's souls are trapped in the Tattletails, and the only way to break out is to perform that ritual?
Also, at the end of night 7 in frount of the moms door is one of the collectible eggs. Inside are car keys. Maybe the mother abandoned her child in a panic once she realized what was going on while she was asleep.
At the end of night 2 someone is knocking on the frount door. I've tried to piece that together with the mom being locked out?
I don't know, I could be over thinking the whole thing. My imagination is running wild with all kinds of ideas! I have so many qestions and ideas! Maybe everything will be explained in the second game, if there is one.
So, what about you guys? What do you gain from this whole experience?

the simple thing about the real mom being dead is this only shows what happens at night and not during the day (besides cristmas day) so how would this little child still be alive, i think it may be a dream or all in the kids head (kinda like fnaf 4 plot)

I hate it when games have big plots and it turns out just to be a dream.

Good point, however I feel like it would be a waste of a plot if it was all in the kids head. Maybe the Tattletails take care of the kid during the day? Then at night the kid returns the favor?

yah i dont think that happens becuse there supost to be his present adn your supost to secretly open them on the first night
