I'd maybe wait until the're a little older. There's implied violence, disturbing backstory, and general creepyness. Not to mention jumpscares.

Mostly because you play as a child in a perfectly normal house.

so because my husband kinda promised this I conceded to only allow it to be played "as a family". yeah. kids didn't warn me about "mamma" and I screamed like a little girl.

Overall, they handled it well. We took turns playing when we were scared so I'd consider it an interesting Family Building Event.

you should have waited its a hard and stressful game i didn't think they should have played it but you let them so its your fault if they can't sleep at night

This game includes horror jumpscares (which are not scary to me), the lights shutting out whenever Mama is near, an eerie atmosphere, scary noises, and a satanic seance. Maybe you should wait to get the game for your kids.
