Is this game better after chapter 1 (No spoilers please)

So, my friend and I just started playing this game (I share my screen on discord and we do the voices and such), and we just got to the chapter 1 investigation. We both loved DR1 and especially 2, but I gotta say, so far, we are not loving this game. The pacing is super slow, it's just all around not as exciting or interesting, etc. Does this game get better after chapter 1, cuse if not, I might play it on my own, cuse the way my friend and I play it somehow takes super long (DR2 took us 62 hours), or not at all. Btw, I do know about a certain "character swap", if you know what I mean. I don't know why it happens but I have my guesses (I can't figure out how to mark spoilers, sorry, lol)

Also, how long is the chapter 1 trial? And the trials in this game overall, are they shorter or longer than the other 2 games?

what, the trials are definitely longer in v3? off the top of my head the final chapter trial in dr2 was 2 hours long while the v3 one is 4 hours
op this game is definitely longer than dr2
also after chapter 1 the game is very divisive, with some people like me thinking its the greatest danganronpa game/greatest game of all time, and with others stopping being danganronpa fans after playing it

Maybe ur right it felt longer now that i think about it too.

The pacing is by far slower but I would say... the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ insanity of the final case needs to be seen to be believed. For the record, I came into it knowing the ending was divisive but I loved it.

If 2 took you 60 hours to beat then V3 will take you 80, tops. The class trials are WAY longer than in previous entries.

My ranking, favorite to least fav: 2 - 3 - 1

Update: I forgot I made this thread, lol. Since making it, my friend and I finished chapter 1 and we just got the murder in chapter 2 and we're loving it now. Once chapter 2 started, things were already better, lol.
