See, this is how we separate the true fans of the game, VS. the people who just tag along. SO LONG!!!
xD
The issue is our definition of a AAA game is completely different. The reason why I questioned the pricing of the game is because the price is usually determined by production and dev-time. The simple fact of the matter is producing a Danganronpa game isn't as costly or time consuming as a full game release from a high budget company. It's not that there's no effort put into the DR games, it's more like there's less effort due to the genre the franchise is confined in, it's just fact.
I didn't really want to research what post-game content there was in V3, but I'm glad that all those options sound far more entertaining than what SDR2 gave. But honestly. I wouldn't count post-game content as replay value personally. For example, I don't remember the last time I replayed the School Mode or Island Mode outside of character endings simply for the fun of it, mostly because gathering wasn't fun. Perhaps V3 will change on that formula, but I'll have to wait and see.
If the lying system functions as you say it does then it sounds a bit disappointing. Due to souring character relationships that would mean you're discouraged to lie, which ruins the mechanic all together. When I first heard about it and played through the demo I thought it would be a great replacement for the memorization mechanic, now though I'm a bit skeptical about it. The way you described it makes it sound like you can get past a class trial without lying at all.
I've only seen mentions of the Love Hotel in the Steam forums, I just assumed it was the V3 equivalent of Island Mode/School Mode.
