When will this game be on sale for 20$ or less?
I really enjoyed playing the demo. I got pulled in this game really quickly! But I don't wish to pay 59.99 for a game... So will there be a sale soon for a reasonable price for 20$ or less?

It hasn't even been on Steam for half a year, you're going to have to wait a while before it ever hits that low a price.

For reference, it hit about 45 dollars in the past winter sale.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha-
*Phew* My heart.

Sorry about that, that was inappropriate. You're never going to get a worthwhile sale for this game here anytime soon sadly. You can't really expect any amount of generosity from a company that has the audacity to charge such extortionate sums for their product in the first place. Your only real choices here are to cave or quit. I personally quit the idea of this garbage on principal. I just tune in every now and again to enjoy a good rant.

Yep, Chunsoft games are obnoxiously expensive. Your best bet would be to find it in some 3rd party shop at a reasonable price. Here you're never gonna get that, sadly.

$60 Is not high for a triple A title that in my opinion is worth the money. Chunsoft games cost money because guess what. Chunsoft has to pay their bills

Danganronpa V3 is NOT a triple A title. Triple A title's are in fact cheaper than Danganronpa, due to the fact you can, and usually do, buy them from other places besides steam.
It's got nothing to do with 'paying the bills', they could have easily paid their bills charging a fraction of that price, it clearly didn't cost the price of a Hollywood film to produce. It's all down to greed, pure and simple. It 'being worth $60' and 'being worth me discarding my priciples' are two very different things.

Pricepoint aside, no amount of generosity from the studio would ever affect the timing or price during a sale; that's entirely under the control of Valve, for every game sold on Steam; developers can merely make requests, but unless you're one of the very top games on Steam that'll generally go ignored. If you want better sales, it's Valve's generosity you should complain about, not Spike Chunsoft's.

The reason this game doesn't dip any lower is simply because statistics on Valve's side still show they can make a higher profit by keeping the price high, people are simply still biting; whenever that's not the case anymore is when you'll see it dip down to 20$. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

This was only true some time ago; starting in early 2014, Valve started letting developers decide prices and sales[www.gamesindustry.biz].

Regardless, there's already a thread concerning the price of the game, so let's try reducing the crosstalk in this forum, yeah?
