The first trial is possibly the best first one out of all the 3 games.

I think Scrum Debate is becoming one of my favorite minigames in the entire franchise.

I'm pretty sure the scrum debate is my favorite mini game out of the entire series despite my problems with my keyboard, wanted to put that out there. Though I feel like the choice of victim was sort of poor as well as the culprit as well but it was a good way to make it exciting, I guess. Or maybe not the victim.

Id say the twist was effective but I wouldn't rate it as one of the best first trials. The first trial in two was better imo for various reasons. leaving out the spoilers, I do think they threw out a solid chance with the first trial in this game but then I haven't played too much past it yet.
It's the single most well written trials in the series thus far (Not counting later trials in v3, haven't done them yet). It's absolutely amazing

I loved the Scrum Debate too, but I fear it's going to be easy throughout the game. I certainly HOPE that isn't the case and they find a way to make it more difficult, but I don't see a way to make it harder.

They probs make it really hard by hiding the answer to a statement more.

But I don't see any way to hide it more. The first one had both your statement and the opponents be the exact same word.

Maybe they'll just make it relating to their arguments.
Like for example.
"Murder Weapon"
"Knife"

"Victim"
"Killer"

I can see that, but they'd need to make MULTIPLE potential answers for multiple arguments to make it difficult.
What they do in chapter 3 to make it more difficult is they add in multiple keywords in several statements, all of which you can choose, so you have to figure out the best keyword to fire.

Oh my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ god. The first trail is not "Hope vs Despair". It's about "Lie vs Truth"

This GAME isn't about Hope vs Despair. The entire game is Lies vs Truth, which is why the main rival of the game, Ouma lies a lot

That was a pain to deal with as one wrong statement = repeat but thankfully once a word is known it known forever.
