Death Road of Despair
I refuse to give in until I beat this miserable SOB. Anyone have any tips? I'm not a platform master and have the action difficulty on easy. Those warping platforms are ruining my day.

Hey man, it's your time. Don't let me stop you. Wish I still have that kind of love for the series.

I'm going for all achievements too. Just haven't tried going for the version in Chapter 1 that many times yet. I recently finished and am doing some post-game before doing some needed replaying.

Actually, I was looking at an achievement list in full to work toward Harmony's Last Reward... I don't see an achievement at all to commemorate beating the death road early. Not even a moment in the gallery I would need to unlock, going by my look into things.

Most likely not worth it after all. The Bright Road to the Future I think is for completing the Salmon-thing mode. Nothing to indicate it needed for completing the game, but correct me if I'm wrong, please. That would help me in the long run.

Do you mean this Achievement?
A Bright Future Awaits Us
Reach the true ending in "Love Across the Universe.

Indeed there does not appear to exist an achievement for beating death road of despair, on steam at least.

Yeah, people were evidently mistaken about that

Ok, I was just making sure. Let me know if there is an event or some such to unlock for the art gallery achievement, but otherwise yeah, it seems to just not be worth the attempts for me.
I finally did it! I made sure to save at the start of the cutscene so I could see it anytime I want.

To clear the Death Road of Despair Minigame:
First, get to the first gate with Kaede, once you touch the gate,
PAUSE THE GAME
Scan for "1162743808" and there should only be one value. Double click that and start a new scan for "1159196672". You'll get about 20 results. Unpause the game and go as far left from the gate as you can on the stairs, standing still.
PAUSE THE GAME
Scan for "1158541312". This is your Y axis. Double click that address as well. You should now have two address in your address list below.
Double click the first one's value field and punch in "1188371214". Now double click the second one and punch in "1151590400". Unpause the game.
Enjoy your clear!

You can pause the game by pressing F3.

This is probably a stupid question, but how do I "scan"?

Press Enter. It will turn you into observe mode and things will have sparkles coming off of them if you can click on them.
You're Welcome.
