Something bothering me about Chapter 2
She would have gotten away with it if she'd just left him in the sink.

Yeah, most murders are unnecessarily complicated.
It's even a "Headscratcher" in the TV Tropes page

Another issue: Kirumi gets built up as being insanely competent to the point of being superhuman, then not only accidently drops two pieces of evidence, but then noticing them, just gives up and leaves them. :p

Don't forget class trail only begin when someone found the body.
She need to put the body where everyone can see.

And she want to leave that place as soon as she can.
She kill because to win the game not win because she hate him.

I don't think even Superman can pick up the piece of fabric from the pool without touching the water.

Kirumi could have tied to rope to the pool pillar and then climb down the wall to get the evidence.
But, wouldn't be much of an investigation game if there is no evidence to be gotten, or the 1st seemingly plausible suspect winds up as the killer.
She couldn't get the two pieces of evidence. That's the point, she couldn't touch the water. There was no way to get them without touching it, even for someone like herself. The bigger question is why she kept the wire from the tennis net just laying around in Ryoma's room.

There weren't any rules about touching the water. If there were, the alarms would have gone off as soon as the evidence fell. The rule was very specifically about "going in the pool" and I find it pretty unlikely that some way couldn't be found to fish the items out. Also unlikely she let the items fall in the first place. I mean, think how crazy it was that she even kept balance on that damn tire. :)

As stated, she could have just left it in the sink. Perfectly findable.

"No swimming in the pool". That was a rule. Monokuma sees any living person touching the water as swimmig. Thus, you can't touch the water. This was an important part of the trial.

I said "fish", Battler. Do you know what fishing is? Do you know what "not dropping them in the first place" is? :)

With what? Hell, even if she managed to get the tire, which I could believe if she SOMEHOW got a pole (Which, y'know, where would she get one), she wouldn't be able to get the cloth.

If you've ever been to a pool you know they have equipment like that already, but even if they didn't, she could have just stopped by the warehouse during her nighttime running around, grabbed one of the poles there (literally right there in the middle of the room), tied something hookish to it, and she's done. She wouldn't even need the hook to get the cloth, and that was the incriminating bit. :p

Then put the equipment back and even if someone did inspect it, and even if it was wet, no one would have been able to guess what it was used for.

Personally, I don't think there's anything wrong with perfectly planned and executed murders. They can be messed up in other ways, like DR2 case 4. Only reason the murderer was caught there was because Fuyuhiko felt like sitting up in the lounge. The murderer didn't actually make any mistakes in execution at all.

This is a pointless argument above, so I have no idea why it's being continued, because life happens. Kirumi didn't get the scrap of paper and that's that. Also, since this is not in the spoilers discussion side of these forums, you guys should spoiler block a lot of stuff you say about the case.
Honestly, I don't care about my favorite character getting away with the murder, in fact, I am so much happier having my favorite character die after killing someone. ( I mean...All my favorite characters in this entire series kill someone, a weird coincidence. Kirumi, Korekiyo, Pekoyama, Gundham, and Celeste. ) If she would've left him in the sink, we still would've figured it out anyway. This entire case was based off of alibis. That's why the time of death was listed as, " unknown " in the Monokuma file. Eventually we would've come to the conclusion that Kirumi did it. Also, that was the best death reveal in the entire series. I am not going to lie, I thought the body was going to drop down from the ceiling and land on someone, I did not expect him to be in the tank. My mouth dropped so far down, same with her execution.
