Talent Plan
I just had my first playtrough in the Talent Plan mode and ended with a level 40 Maki Card. Now it seems like i cant train this card further. Is that true? That would pretty much kill this mode for me :(

If you play with Maki again and end up with her at level 35, then your level 40 card will switch with the 35 one
Oh so i cant level cards, and they will also get switched with weaker ones. Thats some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ there. Kills the mode for me.

Talent plan is actually linked to Monokuma's test.
You level up cards and buy them abilities. You then use those cards in the Monokuma's test which is like a old school rpg, with turn based combat and wandering around a dungeon in a party of four. You take your party, kill monsters, which gives you money(no experience is gained in the test mode)and you take the money to buy equpiment and to gamble for new and better cards. Each character has three levels of quality in terms of cards, and apparently (I haven't done this myself) higher level cards level up faster. Apparently killing bosses raises the chance of better cards

So there is a cyclical arangement with Monokuma's test.
You would have to get a better version of a character to use on the Talent plan. Because the talent plan is only played through to that 3 year maximum. So the better version of a character will level up faster on that three year journey.

That's how you get higher levels on a character.

Thanks for the explanation, but why do u think i didnt know that? :)
The game mode is still dead for me because i cant level cards, i always have to make new ones and level them which is pretty poor game design imo.

He explained it because you saying that it ruins the mode for you, means that you're basically missing the entire point of leveling up cards in the first place. It's not something consecutive like leveling up your Pokemon, it's more so trying to create the perfect card for your perfect RPG group. The more cards you make, the better you get the grasp of Talent Development Plan and the more you'll understand how to adjust cards to the group that you want.
I mean...you can pretty easily make it with a lineup of 4 different cards until you get 4 S cards, then start doing just U cards. Even if you make EVERY U card, it's not many redos. I think you're whining over nothing here.

You only need to make 4 cards, get to some level 40 or 50 with them, get 4 S cards and level those. So a total of 8 cards. Do definitely do not have to "always" make new ones. There's only 3 level cards, and you can skip one level.

Though that doesn't mean you have to find it fun, but I was just saying you were exaggerating.
