Is there a way to skip boss battles?

Hello,
I have reached the final trial and I'm having trouble with the key-mashing rhythm boss battle against K1B0/the public even though I set the action difficulty to easy. Since I'm not so interested in this kind of challenge I'd like to know if there's a way to skip it.
Alternatively, I'd like to know whether it's worth persevering for this fight; specifically I'm suspecting that the whole story wasn't told at this point and that there are more revelations/plot twists to come. Could someone confirm or deny that?

So, I retried and it was not as undoable as I thought… It was indeed the final battle, what follows is only the story's conclusion.
