Game loads but window doesn't.

To clarify what I mean, the audio loads, I can still select options, but the actual window won't load so I can't see what I'm doing. It pins my mouse to the top left corner of my computer screen and I can't move it unless I hit the windows key. Any idea what is going on and how to fix this? I've tried restarting the game, steam, my computer to no luck.

I don't especially want to reinstall but I'm willing to do so if there is no other solution. Another note, it's only happening with V3, I've tried other games in my library and they work. Thank you kindly for any help.

I just had this issue, I fixed it like this; -open up the config file with notepad (located in Danganronpa V3 install directory and make sure these two values are set to 0-.

window_top_x = 0
window_top_y = 0

Mine were both set at -32000 for whatever reason after opening the game while Unity 3D was running.

When trying this, I opened up the game config just from the steam install thing, it opened up a directory of sorts. I changed some options (window to fullscreen, Gamepad help to keyboard help) and attempted to open it up again. I didn't have to open it up in notepad or anything, but after I changed those options it worked. I don't know if it was specifically those options that was messing up my game, I was just glad people had the same problem as me and led me to the way to fix it! I didn't lose any game progress like I thought I would have to when I was so close to uninstalling the game.

i know that this is a solid 2 years too late but even after i do that ^^^ it still doesn't want to work. even after i close and reload the game it goes back to -32000 for some reason and I don't know why..i dont want to uninstall and reinstall the game because i got super far and almost to the end so..can you help?

first of all, reinstalling the game shouldn't delete your save (it didnt happen to me when reinstalling 2 and v3), but as someone else said, launching config tool from steam and changing it to fullscreen/keyboard fixes it

So, open up Steam. Go to your Library. Right click Danganronpa V3. Select "Manage" > Browse Local Files. A pop-up window should appear, and double-click on "Config." From there, you should be able to edit the above numbers. :)
