Chapter 3 thoughts?

What do you think about chapter 3 case? Did many people know the killer before the trial? If you think about it, too many things pointed to Korekiyo right from the start.

I knew who the killer was right off the bat, after knowing how the murder was set up on Angie's part. I know that anyone could have killed Angie but I thought it wouldn't be possible for someone else to kill her other than a classmate who was currently present. Who knows, they could have pulled something crazy but I wasn't convinced. It looked like a strange set up that points to one person specifically. During Tenko's murder, there's only one person who could have killed her too because it was HIS seance and his idea. Kiyo is intelligent for a character, something like that would be creative enough for him.

I was spoiled on the case, but I think it would have been obvious to me even if it wasn't. Tenko was obviously Korekiyo, since he was the one who suggested the ritual and all three rooms had the crosspieces cut, and just from that I would guess that he would kill Angie since, even with the new rule that only the killer of the first victim would be executed, there was just no evidence for anyone, so it would be the one who we already know killed.

But the way, Korekiyo was supposed to sing during seance, right? Wouldn't it be obvious to people in the room if his voice start moving or suddenly stopped? That kinda threw me off a bit. I ended up betting on Korekiyo after investigation, but wasn't too sue.

I think with four people singing, they wouldn't notice his voice moving.

If you look really closely, you can see that Himiko's standing on salt part of circle. Even though Korekiyo said not to do it or magic'll be ruined. Or he said to just be careful when stepping on it?

Himiko just accidentally stepped on it. The only reason he said that was so that nobody would accidentally spet on the board with the crosspiece cut out, which Himiko wasn't near.
