VR Dungeon Knight

VR Dungeon Knight

Oculus Quest
Please bring this to Quest. It's perfect for it, and would be so much fun to play with the family in Co-Op mode. Make more money, Quest is the future!

I would also buy it directly :-)
The game would certainly run with a few adjustments to the graphics and the network on the Quest if I compare it with other games like Apex.
In my circle of friends there are a total of 4 people who have started their VR entry with the Quest.
We are all RPG players and we have been waiting years to play such games in VR.

Your game would be such a game!

A groundfounding campaign for this purpose would certainly be a complete success and I would get involved directly and advertise on the VR sites that I know !!!

:-)

+1 i started the same discussion some time ago, i will order quest at the summer so i too would love to play this at the quest . Also this will be one of the most content-rich games [So propably many ppl will try only for that, however will stay for the gameplay :) ]

I agree.

So far, there is really no comparable game in this genre in my opinion, which is suitable for porting.

Does anyone know if the developer looks into the posts here or how you could reach him directly?

If you could go through the details and needs theoretically, you could also define what resources would be needed and how you could get them. And whether support by others is desired, it is possible in any case.

Dev is all over the forums and is incredibly responsive. Chances are he's already seen the thread.

One problem I see with this is (currently) the reliance on SteamVR. I don't have a Quest, but running additional software might not be as-designed on the Quest. The only possibilities I've seen are streaming the games to the Quest (but this requires a computer for each one - defeating the purpose of having the Quest..). Hope this changes in the future, but I'm extremely skeptical.

I got a decent PC, but not good enough for VR, I'm certain. This game looks like the kind of game I would sink hours on, and I would LOVE it if it were to be ported to the Quest. Number 1, make it so!

It is the opposite. Technically, you can stream it to a Quest so you can play in a room seperated from the working rig. The Quest doesn't need an own computer because it's built-in. I know people who play No Man's Sky in VR with the Quest via streaming.
Other than that, I'm more worried about the specs of the Quest when it comes to direct playing. It seems to be the start of the same problem with games we have already with consoles. It is understandable that developers want to reach as many potential customers as possible. When the Quest becomes one of the better sold VR device, developers probably orientate on that because when it works on a Quest it works everywhere else. Many remember the massive downgrade of Ubisoft's Watch Dogs or Rainbow Six Siege where the first looks had great graphics but in the end it was toned down to make it playable on consoles, the weakest link.

I have an i7 6700k (4 GHz) and a GTX 1080 (parts of a new PC which cost 2000€ in 2016) and I still have to deactivate dynamic shadows so something like that would probably never find its way into a Quest version of the game. When the Quest becomes noticable it might happen a developer doesn't even add such a graphical option in the first place (having the limitations of the Quest in mind) and bigger VR devices suffer from such decisions because they find fewer ways to bring their machine to its limits. VR Dungeon Knight has up to 20 players at the same time (sadly). So when a Quest version becomes a thing, I fear that future games might have a lack of options.
