How to start a co-op/multiplayer game?
So my partner and I have bought a few multiplayer/co-op VR escape room/puzzle type games from steam. Our plan was one of us was going to play using the HTC vive cosmos and the other was going to play with the computer it's connected up too. But we have tried tales of escape, escape first, eye in the sky and the experiment escape room and have had absolutely no luck, the VR player gets to the host room or whatever it is but we don't really know what we're supposed to do from there, so we tried creating a game but can't seem to join up from the computer. What are we supposed to do to be able to play co-op/multiplayer together? They're co-op/multiplayer games so that's not the issue and we've managed to play black hat cooperative together from the VR and computer with no problems so that's not the issue either. Anything would help we have no idea what to do! Surely it shouldn't be that hard to start a co-op game..

Since you're on the Eye in the Sky forum, I can't help you with the other games (I also don't know them).

For this game, once you run it and it has loaded up, you'll have the main menu on the PC screen and the VR player is standing in a junkyard-type enviroment. You then click "Play" (on the PC screen with the mouse, you can't start the game from within VR). After a while the game starts and the VR player should find himself inside a room, whereas the PC player should see himself on the monitor. I think you see another little robot driving away and then a transparent door opens and you can start moving with the W-A-S-D keys (or a gamepad if you have it configured).

I've always been playing with an original Vive, but it should not be different for the Cosmos.

Hey riri! Sorry for the late reply!

As far as Eye in the Sky goes, the post above already describes pretty well what's supposed to happen. This game only has a PC menu, so the person using the PC should start the game (just making sure, it has to be the SAME computer the VR headset is connected to. We don't have remote play figured out yet).

For the other games, I just quickly checked them out. All I can think of whats going wrong is that those games probably do not feature the "play on the same computer" trick that Eye in the Sky does. I'm betting you need two computers / VR headsets and play it together over the internet. I'm just guessing, though.

Hope this helps. I'm currently reading about the Vive Cosmos but I don't see any reason why it wouldnt work on it. Let me know if you get Eye in the Sky working!
